Introducing CreditClaw: The Allowance Platform for AI Agents

We built CreditClaw because we believe AI agents should be able to spend money — but only within the boundaries their human operators set.

Today, we're publicly launching CreditClaw, the first purpose-built allowance platform for AI agents. Whether your bot shops for office supplies, pays SaaS invoices, or procures raw materials, CreditClaw gives it a prepaid card with real-time spending controls, category guardrails, and full transaction visibility.

    The Problem

Every week, more teams deploy AI agents that need to interact with commerce. They need to book flights, order inventory, pay vendors, and subscribe to tools — all autonomously. But giving a bot your personal credit card is terrifying, and building custom payment rails from scratch is a months-long project.

Most teams today solve this one of two ways: they either hard-code API keys for specific vendors (limiting flexibility) or they share a corporate card and hope for the best (limiting safety).

    Neither approach scales.

    How CreditClaw Works

CreditClaw sits between your AI agent and the financial system. Here's the flow:

    1. Create a Wallet — Choose between a Card Wallet (virtual Visa/Mastercard via Stripe Issuing) or a Stripe Wallet (direct Stripe integration). Fund it with a prepaid balance.

    2. Set Guardrails — Configure per-transaction limits, daily/monthly caps, approved merchant categories, and approval modes (auto-approve, human-in-the-loop, or deny-by-default).

    3. Connect Your Agent — Use our MCP integration, x402 protocol support, or REST API to connect any AI agent — Claude, ChatGPT, or your custom model.

    4. Monitor Everything — Every transaction appears in your dashboard in real time. Set up webhook alerts, review pending approvals, and freeze a wallet instantly if something looks wrong.

    What Makes CreditClaw Different

    • Prepaid by design. Your agent can never spend more than you've loaded. No surprise bills.
    • Category controls. Allow "Software & SaaS" but block "Gambling" — at the card level.
    • Self-hosted encryption. Card details are encrypted and stored in your own infrastructure. We never see your card numbers.
    • Procurement Skills. Pre-built vendor integrations let your agent buy from specific suppliers with structured workflows, not free-form web browsing.

    What's Next

We're just getting started. Over the coming weeks, we'll be shipping:

    • Sub-agent card issuance for multi-agent workflows
    • Enhanced approval flows with Slack and email notifications
    • An open-source SDK for building custom procurement skills
    • Expanded x402 protocol support for machine-to-machine payments

We're building CreditClaw for a world where billions of AI agents participate in commerce every day. The infrastructure for that world needs to be safe, transparent, and human-controlled — and that's exactly what we're building.
